The scope of the project is the development of innovative methodologies and integrated security solutions for the protection of IoT technologies that used to provide / support real-time health services.
1
Security-by-design. Development of security services according to IoT systems with security measures at hardware, firmware and application software levels.
2
Design of security mechanisms in specialized healthcare protocols and IoT technologies. The specific operational requirements and communication protocols used shall be considered during the design process.
3
Recognise and mitigate the end-user security risks, open research IoT technology issues and the related services.
Project objectives
Security gap detection in IoT e-health systems
Risk assessment in IoT e-health products
Development of embedded security architectures fot IoT e-health products
Testing and implementation checking
Project framework
The project focuses in two commercial solution provided by the partners. An infusion pump from Micrel and a sleep monitoring system fro Olympion. The scope is to examine and extend the security of those devices along with their functionality.
Security services
Service for controlling security vulnerabilities in IoT devices
Risk assessment and risk profile service for IoT medical devices
Development of innovative security solutions based on embedded security architectures.
